Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud Security team. You will help reduce risk at scale by building platform-level security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and by applying AI to posture data.

You will own end-to-end security workstreams, mentor peers, and drive best practices in testing and observability. The role emphasizes scalable architecture, real-time monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to harden Snowflake’s security posture across

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience designing and owning secure, large-scale systems with threat modeling.
Experience building software in Java, C++, Go, or Python.
Familiarity with distributed architectures and scalable APIs (gRPC, REST).
Strong collaboration and communication across engineering and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Build solutions that operate, protect, and govern security posture across clouds.
Automate security controls across cloud environments and data protection.
Build real-time security monitoring, logging, and alerting with Snowflake tech.
Define and maintain security baselines, policies, and standards for public clouds.
Design AI-augmented pipelines that score risk and surface critical issues.
Own security workstreams end to end with mentorship and guidance.
Apply software engineering best practices: documentation, testing, observability.
