Loop is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of complex, cross-functional work from architecture and design through production. You’ll build scalable solutions, influence technical direction, and help teammates improve.

The role embraces an AI-first workflow, where using AI agents is the default starting point and you validate outputs in production. We value leadership and mentorship across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building web applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Strong PHP/Laravel experience.
• Experience with AI-first development and evaluating AI-generated code.
• Ability to own production outcomes and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, high-quality features across the full stack: backend services, APIs, lambdas, and frontend.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs and own the trade-offs.
• Review AI-generated code with rigor and set standards for team reviews of AI outputs.
• Lead small to medium-sized technical initiatives with direction and stakeholder communication.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers through code review and pairing.
