Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join CoStar Suite in Arlington, VA.

You will drive the build of an AI-infused, enterprise-scale web application, shaping AI-first engineering workflows and high-impact development across the team. You’ll architect distributed systems, lead frontend and backend work with React/Node.js/Tailwind, and collaborate on cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP) and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of production development experience in modern technologies (React, Vue, TypeScript, NodeJS, C#, .Net, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, NoSQL).
• Proven track record of building and launching products/platforms.
• Experience designing for high availability, scalability, and observability.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud technologies.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and CD practices.
• Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve productivity.
• Understanding of business drivers for software products.
• Ability to mentor developers and build consensus.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, distributed systems for an enterprise-scale platform.
• Build responsive web apps using React, Node.js, Tailwind, etc.
• Work with cloud-native services and containers.
• Optimize performance, observability, and developer productivity.
• Leverage AI tooling and automation (CI/CD, code/test generation).
• Establish AI-first engineering practices and mentorship.
• Promote AI culture and upskilling across teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the platform.
• Develop deep knowledge of CRE industry and CoStar’s business model.
