Job summary

ZEDEDA Inc in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own AI-powered, microservice-based systems. You will design and develop agents that run in our infrastructure, collaborate across teams, and improve scalability and reliability.

The role requires navigating large codebases and delivering impactful features. The position is onsite in San Jose with a focus on distributed architectures, cloud infrastructure, and integration of AI coding agents into daily workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Go (Golang) production services experience.
• Experience designing and operating microservices and distributed systems at scale.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka and Docker.
• Background in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, or edge computing.
• Debugging hard production distributed problems; ability to work asynchronously.
• Hands-on experience using coding agents in daily workflow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand large, evolving codebases quickly and contribute within weeks.
• Design, build, and operate microservices in distributed systems.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across services, databases, queues, and LLM integrations.
• Drive architectural improvements for scalability, reliability, observability, and DX.
• Design and develop AI agents that run natively in our infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers and use AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
