Job summary

ZEDEDA Inc is seeking a Software Engineer focused on AI and edge Kubernetes orchestration in San Jose, CA. You will design, build, and deploy components that connect AI model lifecycle management with edge orchestration, while enhancing Kubernetes-based workflows and edge deployments.

Ideal candidates have strong Kubernetes exposure, familiarity with ML concepts, and hands-on experience with AI tooling. This onsite role requires commuting to the San Jose office; visa sponsorship is not

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts: neural networks, deep learning, training and inference.
Familiarity with ONNX models, GenAI architectures, or PyTorch/TensorFlow.
Practical exposure to Kubernetes—pods, deployments, services, namespaces, controllers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software bridging AI model lifecycle with Kubernetes-based edge orchestration.
Build and extend Kubernetes controllers, Operators, and CRDs for AI workload deployment at the edge.
Work with ONNX, GenAI, and ML models in production-ready pipelines and edge environments.
Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Copilot, Codex) as integral tools in daily development.
Participate in design discussions, write clean code, submit PRs, and iterate based on feedback.
Contribute to open-source components related to ZEDEDA's platform and cloud-native ecosystem.
Write and maintain Helm charts for deploying services into Kubernetes clusters.
Collaborate with AI, infrastructure, and product teams to ship features end-to-end.
