Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Software Asset Management engineer to own the full software lifecycle from design to delivery, collaborating with product managers, architects, and QA to improve quality and performance.

You will build scalable code, contribute to new features, mentor peers, and work on AI-enabled workflows and data platforms, using modern UI frameworks like React/Angular to deliver actionable analytics and licensing insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s; or PhD without experience.
• 6+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages
• Exposure to Java or C++
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOD, design patterns and performance/scale
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
• Experience creating dashboards/analytic reports with Power BI, Tableau, Looker
• Experience with AI integrations in workflows and software
• Experience building/distributed data pipelines (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, dbt)

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, scalable, reusable code with best practices (code reviews, unit tests)
• Own code from design through implementation, testing, and delivery
• Collaborate with product managers to define feature sets
• Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to improve quality
• Contribute to new features and enhancements of existing offerings
• Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team
