Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen the accounting payables module within the SaaS property management platform. You will join a cross-functional team and drive features from design to production, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.

You’ll work with Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS, applying AI-driven development and collaborating with product and design to deliver value quickly and continuously. Remote-friendly in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Hands-on experience developing web-based SaaS applications.
• Ability to drive impact autonomously through the full SDLC.
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails and languages like Ruby, Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with AI-driven development and integrating LLMs into production workflows.
• Experience collaborating with product and design teams to drive technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, robust web-based solutions to solve complex business problems for customers.
• Formulate and optimize algorithms and database queries to support SaaS scalability and stability.
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones for scalability and performance.
• Use TDD, code reviews, CI/CD to deliver high-quality software and rapid bug fixes.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and customers to gather feedback.
