Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a 6-person cross-functional team focused on enhancing the accounting module of our AppFolio Property Manager. You will own features that empower customers to pull in and manage their Accounts Payable, while advancing automation and AI capabilities within this space.

You’ll onboard quickly to our stack, align with product and design on solutions, and collaborate with fellow engineers and customers to deliver scalable, robust web-based

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years as a full-stack software engineer.
Hands-on experience building web SaaS apps.
Ability to drive impact autonomously across full SDLC.
Knowledge of RoR and exposure to Ruby/Java/Go/Python; AI-driven development.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable, robust, web-based solutions to solve customer problems.
Formulate and evaluate algorithms and database queries for SaaS scalability and stability.
Implement new features and optimize existing ones for performance.
Use TDD, code reviews, and CI/CD to deliver high-quality software.
Collaborate with product, design, and customers to inform technical solutions.
