Job summary
Asana is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize our home-built frameworks and guide them toward open-source standards. You will empower product engineers and AI agents to build and ship with high velocity in an evolving, agentic landscape.
Based in New York with an office-centric hybrid schedule, you’ll collaborate in person on Mon/Tue/Thu and have remote options on other days. You will identify friction, architect safer, scalable AI-backed solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to navigate large codebases and transition between areas.
- Interest in using AI agents to migrate legacy systems to open source best practices.
- Collaborative approach to accelerating development cycles through agentic workflows.
Responsibilities
- Modernize and iterate on custom, home-built frameworks to align with industry standards.
- Leverage AI agents to migrate legacy systems to modern open-source frameworks.
- Partner with product engineering teams to accelerate development across monorepos.
- Provide office hours and presentations to support teams using the frameworks.
