Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build Hatch, our flagship platform. You will own features end to end—from user need through design, delivery, and support—designing full-stack solutions and making pragmatic architectural decisions.

You’ll work with Elixir and Phoenix today, leverage AI tools, mentor others, and help set roadmaps. This remote-friendly role emphasizes learning, quality, and impact.

Qualifications

5+ years building and shipping software; ownership of significant work end to end.
Strong engineering judgment; ability to differentiate solid solutions from risky ones, including code written by AI.
Product-minded, user- and outcome-focused, with attention to detail that makes software useful.

Responsibilities

Own features end to end from user need to delivery and support.
Design and build full-stack solutions for internal and public web apps; make pragmatic architectural calls.
Work with AI tools and agents to prototype, test, and harden software.
Engage across the full development lifecycle: analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers to raise quality.
