Job summary

Evolent is hiring for a senior software engineering role in the United States. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software, architect high-performance APIs, and drive AI-assisted development across the lifecycle.

Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions, while mentoring juniors and advancing CI/CD practices. A strong cloud and containerization background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python.
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven/clean architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC & WCF applications.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions for scalable systems.
• Architect and implement high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices across the team.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster technical excellence.
• Improve the software development lifecycle with automation, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to boost productivity.
• Drive the technical vision and architecture discussions for long-term planning.
• Apply AI-assisted development techniques across the lifecycle.
