Job summary

Jahnel Group is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Software Engineer to build products from the ground up, owning both the technology and the product. You’ll work closely with the founder on an early-stage initiative focused on AI-driven analytics and economic development.

Design, build, and scale full stack web apps, develop scalable backend APIs, and create modern React/TypeScript experiences. You’ll mentor junior engineers and shape the engineering culture as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years (Mid-Level) or 7+ years (Senior) software engineering experience.
• Experience building production web applications.
• Experience with Python and modern backend development.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Comfortable working in startup environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar as part of daily development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full stack web applications.
