Job summary

Neighborly Software, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, seeks a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship features on our enterprise platform. You will work in a scrum team, deliver cloud-native solutions end-to-end, and apply AI tools responsibly to accelerate delivery.

You’ll collaborate with product and QA to translate requirements into scalable designs, review code, and improve platform reliability and security while exploring AI-assisted engineering with Claude Code and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
• 5–7 years of software development experience delivering production systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and React/Angular; Python a plus.
• 3+ years in Cloud Engineering (Azure/AWS/GCP, Azure preferred).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Codex or Cursor).
• Understanding of LLMs and AI-assisted engineering and security considerations.
• Ability to design and deliver features of moderate to high complexity.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices; automated testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver features and services for the platform.
• Use Claude and Claude Code effectively across workflow for speed and quality.
• Refine AI-assisted development practices and security reviews.
• Build cloud-native, service-oriented solutions using Azure and APIs.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and scrum team to deliver high-impact features.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to prototypes leveraging AI/LLM capabilities with senior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Share knowledge through pairing, design discussions, and reviews.
• Ensure quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility of software.
