Job summary

C3 AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Platform to design, build, and maintain core platform services, tooling, and automation that power enterprise AI applications. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable capabilities, improve deployment pipelines, and mentor teammates on best practices.

You will own features end-to-end and help drive reliability, observability, and performance across the platform.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years backend/platform/DevOps/infrastructure/distributed systems engineering in production.
• Hands-on experience with Java and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Groovy.
• Experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release automation.
• IaC experience, preferably Terraform; cloud provisioning/management.
• Go for infrastructure tooling, automation, or cloud platform development.
• Experience designing scalable platform services, APIs, or developer tools.
• Strong software development principles, testing, observability, and performance.
• Ownership, independence, accountability; strong cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core platform services, frameworks, and developer tools.
• Design and maintain automation for testing, integration, and deployment.
• Develop infrastructure automation to provision and manage cloud environments.
• Build internal tools to improve engineering productivity and efficiency.
• Support workflows, release automation, and code validation.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational quality of platform services.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end from design to mentoring engineers.
