Job summary

Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team in Fort Lauderdale. You will help shape the future of KR’s application portfolio by delivering high-quality features, modernizing legacy services, reducing technical debt, and standardizing development tools and practices.

You’ll work across WES API/UI, Hermes, and Workstreams, collaborating with KR’s global delivery team in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

5+ years production software development experience.
Strong Python: FastAPI, async patterns, pytest, ruff.
Strong TypeScript/React: component design, React Query, Zustand, vitest/Jest.
Rust experience: read/extend axum/tonic services; clippy fluency.
Identity/auth systems: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Azure Entra ID or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain production features across WES API using Python and FastAPI, WES UI using React and TypeScript.
Develop business logic and AI workflows using Python and FastAPI.
Contribute to systems and performance critical components using Rust, Axum, and Tonic.
Build reusable React components with the chosen library (Tailwind, Radix, Fluent UI).
Support migration from legacy patterns (Apollo/Redux) to modern React state management.
