Job summary

Conservice, the Utility Experts, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team in Utah. You will contribute to an agile environment, document requirements, estimate work, and help design and enhance scalable software in our Azure-based platform.

Candidates bring 5+ years of software design experience, strong SQL knowledge, mentoring ability, and a collaborative mindset. You will build internal tools, deploy to Azure, and work with modern CI/CD practices to deliver robust

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with modern software design patterns, debugging and refactoring.
Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding other engineers and helping them grow their skills.
Experience with MS SQL and Postgres.
Experience with Visual Studio Tooling.
Experience with code versioning tools, such as GitHub or GitLab.
Experience with continuous integration and automated build products like Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

Contribute to an agile project team to understand client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.
Mentor and coach other developers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews.
Build and maintain internal tools to streamline our development process and improve productivity.
Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code) to speed up delivery and adopt them responsibly.
Build packages and deploy software to integration environments such as Microsoft Azure.
