Role Overview

The Consulting/Principal Software Engineer is a senior technical expert responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-grade software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scalable, reliable, and secure Java-based applications, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Support and modernize legacy systems by adopting cloud-native architectures, microservices, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, QA, SRE, and product teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to technical guidance and code reviews.
• Support operational excellence by troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and modernization initiatives involving migration to cloud platforms like Azure.

Qualifications & Skills

• Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 7 years in Java enterprise application development.
• Expertise in designing and implementing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of data management using relational and NoSQL databases, and supporting highly available enterprise systems.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, automated testing frameworks, and performance monitoring.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
