Job summary

Ford Motor Company is modernizing its ISA product group by embedding Generative AI, LLMs, and autonomous agentic workflows to transform industrial analytics.

The Software Engineer will design, build, and deploy cloud-based analytic solutions, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers to deliver AI-driven insights and reliable systems. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership from design to deployment and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of frontend framework experience (Angular, React, or Vue).
• 3+ years of backend framework experience (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Spring Boot).
• 2+ years of Python and/or Java.
• Exposure to integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) or open-source models into software applications.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems for data analysis and decision-support workflows.
• Champion the use of generative AI tools to streamline the software development lifecycle, automate testing, and accelerate CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate business goals into technical requirements, user stories, and test suites within an Agile framework.
• Create comprehensive design documents, system architecture diagrams, and API specifications for scalable, secure solutions.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, integrate automated security/quality scanning, and implement IAM and credential rotation.
• Engage in problem management, RCA, and incident resolution to ensure high availability of analytical systems.
