Amazon Advertising is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the Ads Campaign Management team in New York, NY. You will design scalable APIs, work on model context protocol, and contribute to global ads experiences at scale.

Join a team that processes billions of advertiser interactions daily, using AWS services and modern distributed systems. You will mentor engineers, lead design efforts, and help deliver trustworthy insights with low latency.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable architectures for APIs serving millions of advertisers at thousands of transactions per second
Build Model Context Protocol (MCP) server infrastructure—an emerging standard for AI agent-data interaction that delivers advertiser context with sub-second latency and minimal token consumption
Establish system design patterns and best practices for global ads experience at scale
Partner with Product teams to deliver delightful experiences
