Credence seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and modernize enterprise software for a critical aviation program. The role emphasizes scalable applications, APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled automation across DevSecOps, analytics, and mission support.

You will work with a team of engineers and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-impact software that improves mission readiness, logistics, and operations, while mentoring others and shaping

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
• 15+ years of directly related professional experience
• Experience in software engineering, application development, or systems engineering
• Proficiency in modern languages (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript) and production software development
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, or SOA
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized apps
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise software, APIs, and microservices
• Design secure, cloud-native architectures and guide stack-wide decisions
• Support deployment via containers and CI/CD, modernize legacy systems
• Apply engineering best practices and secure software standards
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and sustain production systems
• Build AI-enabled capabilities and integrate AI/automation tools
• Lead and mentor teammates and help shape engineering standards
