Job summary

QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey seeks an experienced software and AI engineer to lead full‑stack development across complex, production‑grade AI systems. You will own API design, cloud architecture, and scalable software foundations, while mentoring teams and guiding best practices.

You’ll collaborate with product managers and data scientists to deliver robust, secure solutions that accelerate client outcomes and demonstrate measurable business impact in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing full‑stack applications and writing clean, scalable code.
• Deep proficiency in at least two frontend or backend frameworks and the ability to select packages and data structures.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular/Next.js/Vue.js, Java/Spring/C#, Node.js, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience architecting secure APIs (REST/GraphQL) with scalability, caching, and gateways.
• Proficiency across two cloud providers with IaC, CI/CD, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Advanced AI engineering skills including AI safety, agent tooling, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Security‑first mindset with OAuth/OIDC and secure development practices.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and communicating effectively in English.
