Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled backend engineer to join the Geneva product development team, working on the Geneva portfolio accounting product and related features.

Collaborate with product managers and QA to translate client requirements into design specifications, implement robust C++ backend solutions, and participate in agile development cycles.

You will also handle client escalations, contribute to testing, and apply strong numerical and communication skills in a financial software context.

Qualifications

• Experience with compiled, object-oriented languages; C++ preferred.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience debugging with Linux tools such as gdb.
• Experience developing backend of enterprise software.
• Financial industry experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding basic accounting principles preferred.
• Familiarity with agentic AI harnesses like Claude Code or Codex preferred.
• Sensitivity to numbers.
• Analytical and level-headed.

• Work within the Geneva Product Development organization and Geneva Fund Accounting team to develop and maintain the SS&C Geneva portfolio accounting product
• Work with product managers and QA teams to develop and maintain Geneva functionality
