Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and operate secure, low-latency authentication and authorization services including OAuth, sessions, tokens, and edge authorization.

You will lead complex technical initiatives, improve self-service integration tools, and collaborate with product, security, fraud, and infrastructure teams while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years of backend engineering experience and proficiency in Go or a comparable systems-oriented language
• Experience operating reliable, high-throughput distributed services
• Candidates should understand secure APIs and identity standards
• Proficient with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Redis or DynamoDB
• Record of delivering cross-functional projects
• Responsible use of generative AI is also expected
