Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. seeks a senior backend engineer to design, build and operate secure, low-latency authentication and authorization services, including OAuth, sessions, tokens and 2FA. You will collaborate across product, security, fraud, and infrastructure teams, mentor engineers, and drive reliable distributed services.

Expertise in Go, secure APIs, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, data stores, observability and SLOs is required, with a passion for responsible use of generative AI.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years of backend engineering experience and strong proficiency in Go or a comparable systems-oriented language.
• Experience operating reliable, high-throughput distributed services and secure APIs.
• Expertise in gRPC, Protocol Buffers, data stores, service observability and SLOs, and cross-functional delivery.
