Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. seeks a senior backend engineer to design, build, and operate secure, low-latency authentication and authorization services including OAuth, sessions, tokens, two-factor authentication, account recovery, and edge authorization.

You will lead complex technical initiatives, improve self-service integration tools, collaborate across product, security, fraud, and infrastructure teams, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• At least five years of backend engineering experience with a systems-oriented focus.
• Experience with secure APIs and identity standards.

Requirements

Requires at least five years of backend engineering experience and proficiency in Go or a comparable systems-oriented language, with a record of operating reliable, high-throughput distributed services. Candidates should have experience with secure APIs and identity standards, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, data stores, service observability and SLOs, cross-functional delivery, and responsible use of generative AI.
