Job summary

Strativ Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fintech start-up. You will work directly with the founders on a lean engineering team to shape product and architecture, spanning backend, frontend, APIs, and AI-powered applications.

You will build and scale production systems, craft interactive interfaces, optimize data infrastructure, and drive technical decisions as the company grows in a NYC hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Solid SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Practical experience with LLMs and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Owns and ships production software end-to-end from backend to frontend.
• Build and scale production systems and data infrastructure.
• Influences architectural decisions and product direction.

We’re partnering with an early-stage fintech company building next-generation enterprise software that transforms complex, data-intensive workflows into actionable insights. This is an opportunity to join a lean engineering team, work directly with the founders, and help shape both the product and technical architecture.

The Role

A high-ownership, hands-on position spanning backend engineering, frontend development, APIs, and AI-powered applications.

You’ll build and scale production systems, develop interactive product interfaces, optimize data infrastructure, and influence technical decisions as the company grows.

What They’re Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js
• Solid SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript
• Practical experience with LLMs and AI-assisted development tools
• Strong ownership, architectural judgment, and experience shipping production software end-to-end
