Job summary

Cut+Dry, a fast-growing FoodTech startup, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build features for distributors and restaurants. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and executives, leveraging AI-driven development to boost velocity, quality, and innovation.

You will work with customer-facing teams, contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud deployments, and have the chance to influence product direction while working remotely with a competitive salary and stock options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or 4-5 years of relevant developer experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in leveraging AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs).
• Extensive hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
• Strong experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Fluency in DevOps, including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality code to meet product requirements.
• Integrate AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development cycles and improve code quality.
• Write effective technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements like performance and scaling are met.
• Actively resolve defects and manage technical debt while leveraging AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.
• Practice DevOps methods like CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to implement LLMs or AI features within our platform to enhance user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies to strengthen Cut+Dry development practices.

In this role, you will build features and enhance the current experience of apps built for food distributors and restaurant operators. We want a developer who doesn't just write code, but leverages the latest in AI-driven development to increase velocity, quality, and innovation.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with our customer facing teams to develop industry leading experiences for Restaurants, Distributors, and Manufacturers. Internally, you will work closely with other engineers, product managers, product marketers and our executive team. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with our customers and see your work in real world situations.

Mandatory Experience

• Bachelor's degree in CS or 4-5 years of relevant developer experience.
• 3+ years of experience in developing high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in leveraging AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to enhance personal and team productivity.
• Extensive hands-on experience in modern programming languages: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, Graphql, MySQL.
• Strong experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Fluency in DevOps, including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
