Job summary

Cranium is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, multi-tenant backend systems and cloud infrastructure for enterprise AI governance and security. You will focus on the Cranium platform, collaborating with frontend, ML, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.

As a senior contributor, you will design and maintain backend services, containers, and databases across Azure and other cloud platforms, while driving maintainable software quality and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable multi-tenant platform services and APIs within Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Work with machine learning engineers and product managers to develop backend services that power our AI security features.
• Implement and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes and related orchestration technologies.
• Contribute to database design and optimization for high-volume enterprise workloads.
• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows and code generation tools to build enterprise-grade software.
• Support customers through technical issues, escalations and feature requests alongside the customer success team.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality adheres to best practices.
• Balance new feature development with platform maintenance and refactoring.

What you’ll do.

Cranium builds products to secure AI, developing cutting-edge AI/ML methods that push the state of the art. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining the core platform of the Cranium architecture.

Your work will focus on building scalable, multi-tenant systems that detect and monitor how AI is used across enterprise environments. You’ll work primarily with our backend platform and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with frontend engineers, machine learning engineers and product managers to deliver robust solutions to our enterprise customers.
