Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software Developer in Missouri to join an agile scrum team responsible for an in-house Java-based Rhapsody modelling tool (MDK).

You will design middleware code generation for controller builds, manage Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD artifacts, and lead tooling processes with multiple business teams across development and testing activities in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred) or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with programming language: Java.
• Experience with open-source tooling (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Software developer for an agile scrum team responsible for in house Java based Rhapsody modelling tool (MDK).

• Manage and implement Jenkins pipeline for automated generation of CICD artifacts.
• Manage and perform smoke testing for tools capabilities supported every program increment.
• Maintain evaluation and production tools release process to GM Internal users.
• Develop and test Java scripts for automation of software and system engineering models as per GM Modelling standards that support the engineering organization.
• Active participation as an SME to Identity, Design, and implement workflow modifications with multiple business teams and business application extensions
• Provide support in analyzing and resolving user issues related to serial data and diagnostics communication between ECUs.
• Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current and new and major projects.
• Specifies and balances system requirements within engineering and IT environments.
• Key role in formalizing tooling process documents and training materials
