Job summary

Envision Technology, LLC. seeks an early-career software engineer to design, implement, integrate, and test complex electro-optical systems for defense applications.

You will collaborate across disciplines, develop embedded software for both embedded systems and Windows GUIs, and support production testing. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience in C/C++, RTOS, and embedded Linux; familiarity with GIT, I2C/UART/USB/MIPI; and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience with 1–3 years of software development.
• Proficient in C/C++ in embedded environments.
• Experience with Windows GUI development (C#) is a plus.
• Familiar with GIT and source control.
• Understanding of RTOS concepts and development.

Position Summary

In this role, you are responsible for the software design , implementation, integration, and test of complex electro-optical systems and subsystems for defense applications.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to create innovative new product designs from concept, through research & development, and into production.
• Software code development for both embedded systems and Windows GUIs for engineering and production testing.
• Work with electrical engineering to debug and troubleshoot complex electronic and software designs.
• Provide support throughout the full product life cycle, including design, transition to production, and sustainment.
• Use industry standard project management tools to track software tasking and defects.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience with 1-3 years of experience developing software code.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ in an embedded environment.
• Windows development in C# is a plus.
• Familiar with GIT and related source control tools.
• Understanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) concepts and development.
• Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, UART, USB, MIPI is preferred.
• Be able to read and understand electronics schematics in order bring-up and troubleshoot new hardware designs is a plus.
• Embedded Linux development experience is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interact productively in a team environment.
• Ability to move up to 25 pounds.
