Job summary

Axle Mobility is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in the Los Angeles/San Francisco area or for relocation. You will own end-to-end projects, partner with customers, designers and product stakeholders to translate big ideas into real products that transform fleet operations.

You should bring 5+ years building production APIs and web apps with React, Typescript, C#, Python, and Java, plus practical Generative AI experience to apply models and RAG to product workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years across React, Typescript, C#, Python, Java building production APIs and web apps.
• Generative AI - experience with LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, RAG, etc.

Responsibilities

About Axle

At Axle, we’re enabling the decarbonized and autonomous fleets of the future. As the commercial transportation industry transitions to electric, connected, and autonomous vehicles, everyday back-end operations that make up the $100B ecosystem must be re-tooled from the ground up to accommodate this once-in-a-century transformation.

Axle is building the first tech platform designed to guide fleets and their ecosystem partners in this transition while reducing their total cost of ownership and streamlining back-end operations. We’re building a single source for fleet management from training to repair.

We’re a small team that comes from fleets, OEMs, and dealerships and we’ve all experienced the problems we’re solving. We’re trusted by some of the largest fleets, repair providers, industry leaders already, and are well-funded and revenue-generating.

Your Responsibilities

You’re the right person for this role if you’re excited about building not just a product, but helping shape the trajectory of an entire, nascent industry. On your first day, you’ll get ownership over end-to-end projects, and you’ll work closely with customers, designers, and product stakeholders to help turn big ideas into impactful products that solve real problems.

Your Skillset

• 5+ years across React, Typescript, C#, Python, Java building production APIs and web apps.
• Generative AI - experience with LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, RAG, etc.

Some Nice to Haves

• Experience building products in a 0-1, high-growth environment.
• Passion for, or experience working within industries in the built world - e.g. automotive, supply chain, construction, warehousing, logistics, real estate, trucking.
