Trenchant Analytics is seeking a results-oriented Senior Developer with a strong understanding of Next.js and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for designing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. An interest or experience in exploring creative side projects is highly valued, as we appreciate innovation and unique problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Designing, developing, and testing web applications using Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
3. Applying proven software development methodologies to meet system requirements.
4. Conducting code reviews and test case reviews to ensure high standards of code quality.
5. Leading team meetings and stand-ups, assisting in strategizing project roadmaps and work estimation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Proficient understanding of Next.js and React.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL; experience with other database technologies is a plus.
• Experience with OpenAI API or other LLM integration methods.
• Proven experience as a senior developer.
• Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles.
• 3-8 years of relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S Secret Security Clearance.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with tRPC, shadcn, Tailwind CSS, Drizzle, Vercel, or Microsoft Azure is desired.
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
