Unknown is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop embedded firmware for its intelligent energy management platform.

You will work on base firmware, application firmware, hardware integration, and IoT connectivity, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and QA teams to deliver firmware for microcontroller-based products using Microchip and STMicroelectronics platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
• 3+ years in IoT systems development and debugging.
• Strong C/C++ and Python experience.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M, STM32, Microchip, or similar MCUs.
• Experience with Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, or RS-485.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Experience developing embedded Linux using Buildroot.
• Strong debugging with JTAG, SWD, scopes, logic analyzers.

Senior Software Engineer

A rapidly growing, private equity-backed technology company , is looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer to develop embedded firmware for its intelligent energy management platform. Their technology connects and optimizes building systems to deliver energy, operational, and resiliency benefits for customers ranging from Fortune 500 companies and utilities to small businesses.

This is a hands-on embedded engineering role where you’ll work across base firmware, application firmware, hardware integration, and IoT connectivity . You’ll collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and QA engineers to architect, develop, test, and deliver firmware for microcontroller-based products using platforms such as Microchip and STMicro . The role covers both new product development and sustaining existing products.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development
• 3+ years of hands-on IoT systems development and debugging
• Strong C/C++ and Python experience
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M, STM32, Microchip, or similar microcontrollers
• Experience with Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, or RS-485
• Experience with an RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr
• Experience developing and maintaining embedded Linux systems using Buildroot
• Strong debugging experience with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or similar tools
• Experience working in Agile development environments
