Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least five years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining ColdFusion applications.
• Relational database design, development, query optimization, and administration support with SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Secure, database-driven web applications using server-side technologies.
• APIs, imports/exports, scheduled processes, authentication, and data exchanges.
• Experience supporting applications hosted in a Windows Server environment.
• Experience supervising, leading, mentoring, or managing technical staff.
• Experience supporting higher-education clients or comparable setting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues.
• Commitment to documentation, security-minded development, reliable operations, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, test, document, and deploy web applications, databases, and integrations supporting CCCSE programs, including legacy ColdFusion applications and their modernization, migration, or replacement.
• Provide technical leadership across CCCSE's environment (ColdFusion, PHP, SQL Server, MySQL, FileMaker Server, Windows Server, survey-platform integrations, BI, and analytics tools).
• Assess and improve connections among applications, databases, and workflows to reduce manual work, improve data consistency, and strengthen maintainability.
• Work with CCCSE staff to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and deliver usable solutions supporting survey administration, participant management, and institutional analysis.
• Supervise a junior-level IT staff member (pending hire), mentor, review work, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with University IT, vendors, and external providers to maintain secure, reliable technology services.
