Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) seeks a Software Developer III in Melbourne, FL to design, develop, and enhance financial applications and web-based systems as part of a contract-to-hire path. You will tackle complex projects, collaborate with IT and vendors, and apply AI-assisted tooling to improve code quality and testing.

Competenze

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support and documentation of core and web based systems following the software development lifecycle.
• Front-end development with React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms; familiarity with .NET, SQL databases, Node.js, and web services.
• Experience with client-server concepts, object-oriented programming, and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices and modern web app architectures.

Mansioni

• Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine application software problems or assist with hardware issues remotely when possible.
• Designs, develops, tests, and integrates moderately complex internal and external core and web applications, services, and sites.
• Provides tier III technical support for staff on internal and external core and web applications and systems.
• Confers with vendors, IT team members, users, and managers to determine requirements for new or modified software/hardware; tests configurations and ensures usability and security.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies application systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Uses AI to analyze requirements, identify questions and gaps, explore implementation approaches, generate or refactor code, explain existing code, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Creates prompts and context that clearly communicate objectives, technical requirements, constraints, acceptance criteria, and patterns.
• Uses iterative prompting and context refinement to improve outputs and maintain quality.
• Uses AI to create unit tests, test scenarios, edge cases, and release notes; documents troubleshooting guidance.
• Validates AI-generated code and content; ensures security, maintainability, and conformity with standards.
