Job summary

State Board of Elections in Springfield, IL seeks an IT professional to develop and maintain information systems. You will work under CIO supervision to design, test and implement applications, and provide high-level support for complex systems.

You will mentor junior developers, review code, and stay updated on election laws and board policies. A four-year degree and extensive IT experience are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree plus seven years of IT experience.
• Ability to collaborate with agency officials, vendors and election authorities.
• Ability to coordinate activities of lower-level technical staff.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, C#.NET, SQL Server and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Establishes task schedules, testing and implementation plans per SBE standards.
• Provides level 3 tech support for agency users and data exchanges.
• Contributes to training and code reviews to ensure standards.
• Continues self-study to stay current on information systems and election policy.
