Job summary

American Heritage Credit Union in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Software Developer to analyze business and system requirements and design, develop, implement and support custom and third‑party software solutions within the Information Services Department. Job description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $5.3+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Developer in our Information Services Department. This position will analyze business and system requirement needs/documentation to design, develop, implement and support custom and third-party software solutions; responsible for large complex AMHCU initiatives. Identify and assist with the resolution of system flaws.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output requirements with applicable staff.
  • Interface with system users to ensure full understanding of desired functionality and expectations.
  • Organize project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming languages, and logic.
  • Code project requirements by converting workflow information into computer language.
  • Functionality, scalability, performance and stress testing of internally and externally developed software solutions.
  • Preparation and maintenance of SDLC documentation and procedures.
  • Preparation and maintenance of software documentation (both internal to department and end-user-oriented documentation).
  • Facilitate and maintain the department's version control initiatives.
  • Promote the development and usage of reusable code and code libraries to provide the institution with valid data/results in a more constrained time frame.
  • Interface with Vendors to manage support issues and process implementation.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of current trends and technologies for future use and expansion of the institution and its capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages: Asp.net, C#, SQL server, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, Symitar, PowerOn, etc.
  • Understanding of core software development principles and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works effectively within a team and individually.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused with minimal supervision.
