Job summary

American Heritage Credit Union is seeking an Information Systems Support Specialist I to support members and staff by troubleshooting hardware and software issues and handling Symitar-based processing tasks.

You will maintain BytePro, PCFS, and Closer's Choice databases, perform daily Symitar functions, and coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve problems efficiently. The role may require on-site hours with potential remote work.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software.
• Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Symitar, MS Office, MS Project and Windows.
• Judgment to apply established practices to novel situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Symitar system databases, printers, and software.
• Perform daily Symitar functions including ACH processing, share draft processing, MasterCard processing, STAR processing; set up overnight processing.
• Answer and route user requests for hardware, software, networking issues with clear communication.
• Setup and run month-end processes and generate reports.
• Maintain communication with third-party vendors (e.g., FIS, Interpro, Symitar).
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Work on-site with occasional remote capabilities.

Job description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $5+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Information Systems Support Specialist I. This position performs processing using Symitar functions and troubleshoots software and hardware problems for users.

Requirements/Duties

• Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing members and staff while projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
• Maintain BytePro, PCFS, and Closer's Choice system databases, printers, and software.
• Perform daily Symitar functions including ACH processing, share draft processing, MasterCard processing, STAR processing. Set up all overnight processing.
• Maintain Symitar system databases, printers and software.
• Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
• Interview user to collect information about problem and lead user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of problem.
• Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to technical staff.
• Setup and perform the month-end process.
• Maintain constant communication with STAR/InterPro system.
• Set up and run computer-generated reports.
• Maintain constant communication with third-party vendors (e.g. FIS, Interpro, Symitar).
• Maintain current hardware/servers (e.g. Online Teller, Vysym, Symitar).
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Ability to work offsite or remotely without direct support.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience of troubleshooting PC issues involving hardware and software problems. Experience with Microsoft products also required.
• Requires education equivalent to two years of college or an Associate's degree in a computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Work requires advanced working knowledge of Symitar, MS Office, MS Project & Windows.
• Work requires extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, particularly Microsoft and Symitar products.
• Requires judgment to apply broader aspects of established practices to situations, which go beyond clear, concise guidelines.

WORK HOURS

• Full time position - Must be available rotating evening and Saturday hours.
