Michael Page is seeking a Senior AI Agent Engineer with expert Python skills to build and operate production LLM-powered agent systems. You will work with AWS Bedrock, LangGraph, and LangChain in a multinational setting and contribute to RAG pipelines, embeddings, and advanced observability.

Responsibilities

• Redesign state machine for multi-turn conversations with anchoring patterns.
• Refactor reasoning pipeline and routing; remove advance-only defaults.
• Improve retrieval quality via embedding pipeline cleanup and hybrid search.
• Implement multilingual solution across the full pipeline including translation and cross-lingual retrieval.
• Build and maintain offline agent evaluation framework and quality gates.
• Work on real-time speech-to-text and mishear recovery for agent layer.

Job description

Reporting to the head of this team your main responsibilities will be -

Agent architecture

Redesign the state machine for multi-turn stateful conversations covering position tracking step confirmation logic where delivered is not the same as confirmed prevention of premature advancement back-navigation and re-anchor patterns.

Reasoning and routing

Refactor the reasoning pipeline covering separation of reasoning from speech confidence gating fallback and clarification routing and removal of advance-only defaults.

Retrieval and RAG

Improve retrieval quality through embedding pipeline clean-up hybrid search reranking using semantic and cross-encoder methods and separation of metadata lookup from semantic search paths.

Multilingual architecture

Evaluate and implement a multilingual solution across the full pipeline covering translation accuracy voice recognition for non-native speakers and cross-lingual retrieval.

Evaluation harness

Build and maintain an offline agent evaluation framework covering human versus agent answer parity flow success rate grounding and hallucination detection and session-level trace analysis. Define and instrument the pilot quality gates.

Voice and speech to text

Work with real-time speech to text at the agent layer covering mishear recovery low-confidence input handling and accent and dialect robustness.

Observability

Instrument agent traces for latency cost per turn tool selection accuracy and session quality.

Were looking for a Senior AI Agent Engineer with expert Python skills and proven experience building and operating LLM-powered agent systems in production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with AWS Bedrock AgentCore and agentic frameworks such as Strands LangGraph or LangChain as well as strong knowledge of RAG architectures embeddings vector search AI evaluation frameworks observability and performance optimization. Experience delivering AI agents to real users is highly valued while exposure to AWS engineering environments multilingual AI Voice AI (Transcribe Whisper) and multimodal solutions would be a strong advantage.
