Aderant is seeking an Engineering Manager with deep technical expertise to lead a team building and modernizing a business-critical platform. This hands-on leader excels in TypeScript, understands mobile and API client impacts, and can guide delivery in cloud-native environments, especially AWS.

You will own core platform capabilities across APIs, mobile apps, and desktop clients, drive modernization toward a TypeScript‑oriented service architecture, partner with Product, QA, and platform teams,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering leadership with people management.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript, client side and backend/API engineering.
• Proven experience leading architectural modernization or migration to modern service platforms.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in AWS.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering core platform APIs, mobile apps, and desktop clients.
• Drive modernization toward a TypeScript oriented service architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and platform teams to plan sequencing and reduce delivery risk.
• Establish standards for service design, code quality, observability, and secure-by-default implementation.
• Support multi-region production operations and incident response.
• Coach engineers to strengthen team capability while maintaining technical depth.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers fostering a high-trust, high-accountability culture.
