Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer – Software & Controls Test to support development and validation of vehicle control system software. The role focuses on software testing, HIL development, and automated test execution across multiple projects.

You will develop test plans, maintain test infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality, reliable control systems in simulated and real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software testing, controls engineering, or validation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software systems.
• Experience with CAN/J1939 or similar vehicle networks.
• Knowledge of functional safety, cybersecurity, or safety-critical embedded development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain software and controls test plans.
• Configure and support HIL test systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for verification and validation.
• Execute automated regression tests and support CI/CD initiatives.
• Integrate prototype and production controllers into HIL environments and validate interfaces.
• Develop simulations representing physical systems controlled by embedded controllers.
• Collect and analyze network, I/O, diagnostic, and software data during testing activities.
• Improve HIL infrastructure for repeatability, scalability, and availability.
