Job summary

Fullsight LLC in Warrendale, PA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale web applications. You will act as a technical expert, architect, and mentor for a diverse team across the SDLC.

The role requires 10+ years in hands-on software engineering with Java/Spring, distributed systems, and modern tooling; hybrid work with 2 days in the office and up to 3 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related major.
• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Java, including Spring.
• Experience as a Team Lead for at least 2 years.
• Experience with microservices or distributed computing.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of containerization, GitLab CI/CD, and modern development tools.
• Experience with messaging architectures using RabbitMQ or similar.
• Experience with OAuth, Spring Security or OpenID, Elasticsearch/ELK, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert, lead, and architect on large and complex projects.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex web-based application systems.
• Lead the team in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
• Define system architecture, standards, and documentation; ensure security and deployment practices.
• Interact with customers for requested improvements and enhancements.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
