Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Architect for the SPY‑6 Naval Radar Product Line to helm the software architecture across SPY‑6 FoR configurations. You will drive long‑term vision, ensure scalability, and align with Navy and industry partners.

Lead technical direction across programs, guide modernization (DevSecOps, modular open systems, digital engineering), collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Cyber teams, and mentor engineers. Onsite in Marlborough, MA with security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with extensive experience.
• Experience with real‑time, distributed, or mission critical software systems.
• Experience leading complex architectures across multi‑variant product lines.
• Experience in Radar domain and cyber integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software architecture vision and long‑term roadmap for SPY‑6 FoR configurations.
• Provide technical leadership across programs and subcontractors; drive modernization like modular open‑system approaches and DevSecOps.
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Navy stakeholders to ensure end‑to‑end coherence and support technical reviews.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks; maintain architectural consistency across variants and shared components.
• Support new business pursuits through baselines and proposals while mentoring senior engineers.
