Job summary
AgileEngine, LLC. in Irving, TX is seeking a Software Architect to assess our platform's architecture and define a target-state design for an FDA-regulated SaaS product.
You will drive domain-driven design, clean architecture, API and data-model decisions, modernize legacy components, and mentor remote engineers while upholding security, auditability, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications
- Must have led software architecture or senior technical leadership.
- Strong fundamentals in SOLID/GRASP design principles.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design and clean architecture.
- Experience designing APIs and data models for complex systems.
- Proven ability to modernize legacy components and refactor at scale.
- Strong CI/CD emphasis with focus on security and auditability.
- Experience delivering SaMD or regulated software projects.
Responsibilities
- Assess current system architecture, integrations, and data flows.
- Define a target-state architecture aligned with DDD and clean architecture.
- Design a fault-tolerant data pipeline from multiple vendor feeds.
- Create denormalized storage with trade-off analysis for performance.
- Develop a phased roadmap and safe refactoring strategy.
- Establish engineering standards and decision-making frameworks.
- Improve workflows, CI/CD, testing, and release processes.
