Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Software Architect to assess our platform architecture and define a target-state design for an FDA-regulated SaaS product.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor a distributed engineering team, and drive modernization while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires senior leadership, strong fundamentals in SOLID/GRASP, and experience with complex multi-language systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SOLID and GRASP design principles.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and clean architecture patterns.
• Proven experience designing APIs, data models, and integration layers in multi-language environments.
• Background improving CI/CD lifecycles with emphasis on security and resiliency.
• Experience leading senior engineers and mentoring remote teams.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess current architecture, debt, and data flows to identify constraints.
• Define a target-state architecture aligned with DDD and clean architecture.
• Design denormalized storage to balance performance and redundancy.
• Develop a phased roadmap to modernize legacy components with backward compatibility.
• Establish engineering standards, guidelines, and decision frameworks.
• Improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and testing practices.
• Mentor team through design reviews and architectural documentation.
