Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks an Experienced Software Design Engineer for the P-8 Mission Systems Software team in Kent, Washington. You will define requirements, design architectures, and support testing across multiple programs within the BDS Software Engineering organization.

Responsibilities include software lifecycle management, code reviews, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality software for military platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, data science, or computer science with 3+ years of experience.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Software Systems Architecture experience.
• Software Requirements writing experience.
• Interface design and control document experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains software systems meeting standards.
• Translate system requirements into software requirements and models.
• Perform software system-level analyses to identify risks and mitigate them.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Monitor test completion and resolve issues in software systems.
• Develop user documentation and training for software products.
• Review product/process for alignment with plans; adopt new technologies.
• Perform software project management and supplier management activities.
