Job summary

E Logic in Gaithersburg is seeking a Lead Software Developer / System Architect to support NIST CNST NanoFab. You will provide software development, system architecture, and technical leadership for NEMO, SPM, and NT.

The role requires senior expertise in Python, Django, Java, and modern web frameworks, with a proven track record in federal or research labs and full SDLC leadership. On-site at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of software development and server administration experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of specific experience in NEMO development; documented history of plugins and repositories.
• U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
• Must be able to obtain a NIST site badge and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the NEMO laboratory logistics web application (Python, Django, Gunicorn).
• Oversee development and maintenance of the System for Project Management (SPM) (Java, Kotlin, Spring, JSP).
• Architect and guide the Nanolithography Toolbox (NT) development (Java, JavaFX).
• Architect and maintain REST APIs for system integration.
• Package applications using Docker container infrastructure and manage releases.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in progress reviews with CNST management.
