Job summary

NT Concepts is seeking a Senior / SME Software Engineer with deep Java or Python expertise to join our DC-area team. You will lead architecture and hands-on development of mission-critical data pipelines and backend services, shaping secure, scalable solutions for national security programs.

You will mentor engineers, drive design sessions, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex needs into robust, RESTful APIs and cloud deployments using AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; 7+ years of software engineering for Senior level.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement backend applications, microservices, and data pipelines using Java or Python.
• Provide SME guidance, mentor team members, and lead technical design sessions.
• Design and implement enterprise RESTful APIs and secure interfaces across multi-system environments.
• Architect and optimize data storage, ingestion, and transformation with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Drive cloud-native designs and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in secure IC cloud environments.
• Ensure security, high availability, and low-latency performance across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into clear technical roadmaps.
