Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Architect to join the DOS CSM Program in Herndon, VA. You will provide architecture guidance across the SDLC, including requirements, prototyping, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

You will research tools, elicit customer requirements, define high-level epics and features, and architect complex systems using hybrid cloud and microservices. Strong Java, REST, and security focus required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years' relevant experience.
• Experience architecting and developing high-volume, secure software systems in Agile environments.
• Experience with REST-based services and enterprise web applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for the program.
• Define software requirements and high-level epics to support Agile development.
• Architect complex software systems using hybrid cloud and microservices.
• Define and communicate architectural guidelines for software systems.
• Design software using standard design patterns to improve maintainability and performance.
• Provide development support across technologies including enterprise web apps and REST services.
