Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support a large classified program. The role involves agile software development, design best practices, and cross-functional Scrum teamwork to develop software, contribute to acceptance criteria, script creation, and test automation using Open Source and COTS tools.

The candidate will work on design, development, testing, and integration activities, collaborating with systems analysts, engineers, and other programmers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years with a Master’s
• Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility with a polygraph
• Experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL and Python
• Experience in RHEL and Oracle environments
• AWS technologies: PostgreSQL and Oracle
• REST, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Ember.js, Nextjs/React, GraphQL
• Docker, KeyCloak, WildFly, Tomcat, ArcGIS
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Full-time work in a SCIF

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems.
• Confer with analysts and engineers to design systems and interface specs.
• Develops software systems using models to predict outcomes of design.
• Coordinates software installations and monitors equipment functioning.
• Performs software development activities to support, maintain, and enhance software.
• Develops and integrates bug fixes and new features using DIA standard tools (e.g., Java, Git, GitLab).
